In the manufacturing and procurement of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and reactors, the Torispherical Head (also known as a Flanged and Dished Head or Flanged and Spherical Head) is one of the most widely used end closures. For design engineers and procurement managers, finding the right balance between performance requirements and cost control is essential to project success.

1. What is a Torispherical Head? Structure & Stress Analysis

A torispherical head consists of three main parts:
